In fact, an add-on to Google Maps or Google Earth that let you chart data on the map would be very useful.Randy Krumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12356711837602028454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4256871403471561163.post-32135419669018215122008-05-27T18:54:00.000-05:002008-05-27T18:54:00.000-05:00The concept is good. A 3D fly-through would be interesting.Lynn Marentettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03087071578329079976noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4256871403471561163.post-14113586995209147002008-05-26T06:29:00.000-05:002008-05-26T06:29:00.000-05:00It is a very cool looking graphic. The pop up sections indicate the percentage of subprime mortgages in foreclosure but the size of the metropolitan areas -- even though it isn't intended to be part of the data -- distorts the values (one of the basic no-nos of chart building.) The shading in the denser parts of the chart makes it difficult to pick out the different shades of the pop ups. And the perspective makes it almost impossible to pick out which metropolitan area is represented by which pop up in the north-central and northeast.W Randhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04196925285146598800noreply@blogger.com
