Procrastination: The Infographic Video

Although I really like this video by Johnny Kelly at Design You Trust (Good-Okay-Brilliant-Great job Johnny!), I not convinced this is infographics.

What do you think?  Is this infographics or illustration?

  1. Not infographics! It's a traditional animation. A good one, because of a good idea and development. But not infographic's, obvious.

  2. Yeah, I'd also say it's not infographics. There's no data being visualised, and it does not explain a concept or a process. But it does visualise the examples given by the voice-over. It's visualisation, perhaps?

I'd also like to point out that procrastination does not have to be seen quite as negative as it is presented in the video. There's a very inspiring essay by John Perry, who argues that the habit of procrastination can be turned into something positive if it's done right. The main argument is that "procrastinating does not mean doing absolutely nothing" and if the list of things to be done is structured right, it can lead to an unconventional form of productivity: http://www.structuredprocrastination.com/index.php

  3. Nope, not infographics. Just an animated short film. Pretty entertaining, though. Nice retro feel. I felt like I was a little kid watching The Electric Company again.
